Aviagen selects Innovatec

After extensively comparing hatchery suppliers, Aviagen has selected Innovatec to supply the equipment for their new Stratford Hatchery.

Innovatec will construct, deliver and commission the equipment as well as provide staff training.

The Candling & Transfer room, Washing rooms, Chick take off and sexing room will also be automated to a high level. The sexing carrousel, containing an innovative sexing control system and accommodating 18 people plays a key control role. Aviagen will now be able to guarantee a very high delivery performance of every sexed male or female batches.

With an added 400,000 egg setting capacity, the total capacity will exceed the one million egg a week mark. Aviagen supplies day-old grandparent and parent stock chick to customers in 130 countries worldwide. This essential expansion responds to continuing high demand and the need to meet the requirements of its local customers.
