For the extension of their Stratford Hatchery, Aviagen, producing GGP an GP chicks, worked closely with Innovatec on the specifications for the hatchery equipment to ensure it met the exacting standards required by their customers. Both Aviagen and Innovatec continue to set the standard for innovation at a very high level.

A very unique feature of the delivered equipment is the 18 person sexing carousel, including a double blind sexing control system. During the sexing process, the supervisor can check unnoticed the performance of every individual sexer in two ways: electronic counting and physical counting.

All data, such as male/female ratio, count per batch and/or sexer, sexer capacity etc., are visualised by a histogram on a screen during the process and are stored.

Furthermore, the sexing results of each individual sexer can be collected and checked in a unique way. This takes place by remote control and on the outside of the carousel.

Because of this unique concept, Aviagen guarantees its customers a high delivery performance.

Innovatec delivered all the additional hatchery mechanisation as well as a candling & transfer unit, various types of washing machines, chick take-of table, chick counter and waste handling equipment.
