Ghekiere Hatchery uses Innovatec Hatchery Automation’s CleanChick dual technology for live embryo detection, in combination with the Exploder removal system and the Clear egg removal:
During candling and transfer, live embryo detection on day 18 is combined with the removal of non-viable eggs and the separation of clear eggs, which are immediately extracted by an integrated high-vacuum cyclone system, thereby efficiently removing them from the process and minimizing the risk of contamination.
By integrating the high-vacuum cyclone system at this stage, the risks of contamination are significantly reduced, biosafety is improved, and higher yields are supported. At the same time, the fully enclosed design drastically reduces odor emissions, creating a cleaner and more pleasant working environment. Yet another example of how smart integration improves both performance and sustainability in the hatchery.
